“ We walked in at a busy time and were seated quickly. Ilana was the hostess. Very friendly and on top of her job! The restaurant was clean and organized and the music was just right. The busboy offered drinks right away but Izzy our server arrived so quickly and she got our drinks for us. I ordered a coffee which was hot and fresh, my husband ordered a virgin Bloody Mary which was really tasty and looked great! My husband ordered the Island Peanut salad with chicken and I had the shaved steak sandwich with swiss and sautéed onions. The sweet potato fries were tasty but could have been a little hotter. I didn't complain because they were good just not hot enough for my taste. Everything was tasty and the service couldn't be better. Even the young man who took us to our seat was very friendly. As we were leaving, Ilana thanked us and said goodbye. Great job everyone! We will be back. ”

“ This four star review is based on service and atmosphere. The service was amazing! Andrea was on point. I got the lobster Mac, pasta salad and veggies to go. The lobster Mac says smoked Gouda on the menu, and it was definitely smoked gouda, it was all you could taste, literally penne pasta, a butt load of Gouda and some what I'm assuming is langostines. All you taste is the smoked/burnt Gouda. Service was 10 out of 10 and the sides were amazing, but ya pass on "lobsta" mac and cheese. ”

“ I've never had a bad meal at Jumby! The food is consistently hot and fresh, and always tasty. The service is hit or miss. The servers are always pretty nice but they can disappear for long periods of time. I've had this experience with multiple servers, so I can't and won't single anyone out, but it is what it is. The vibe is fine, but the booths are incredibly uncomfortable. I always find myself using the pillows for extra comfort. I also want to mention that the Jambalaya, while a cute play on words, is definitely more akin to gumbo than normal Jambalaya. I didn't get it this time around, but it's a tasty option. I think my biggest complaint would be how pricy items are, and the fact that entrees don't come with sides, they must be added on for an additional cost. All that being said, living in Abacoa, I would say Jumby is probably the best and most consistent option, food wise downtown. ”
